Ziggy stardust song
"Bottle and Glass (or sometimes Bottle of Glass).
It's the top of the line "China White" heroin that is white. Ian from BostonI'm pretty sure when he says "come on so loaded man, well hung, and snow white tan." Heroin is almost always tan in color.
I do believe Bowie tapped into his lyricists knowledge to write the song but it was really about Mick Robinson. Just my two cents as to why the band broke up kind of represents in the lyrics of this song. Mick wanted to do more solos while Bowie wanted to do more of the pop arrangements and have limited guitar solo expressions. The rap going around was that they were on the verge to kicking each other's arses. Mick Ronson was a show man and so is Bowie. Here in the 70s we listened to all of Bowie's albums and by the time Ziggy Stardust came about, The Talk around the LA scene was that Bowie and Mick Ronson we're at odds with each other about their presence in the band. This might just be gibberish but I will leave a comment anyway.

Making love with his ego Ziggy sucked up into his mind He took it all too far but boy could he play guitar Ziggy played for time, jiving us that we were voodoo So we bitched about his fans and should we crush his sweet hands?
So where were the spiders, while the fly tried to break our balls 'Came on so loaded man, well hung and snow white tan Like some cat from Japan, he could lick 'em by smiling Now Ziggy really sang, screwed up eyes and screwed down hairdo He played it left handīecame the special man, then we were Ziggy's band Ziggy played guitar, jamming good with Weird and Gilly,Īnd the spiders from Mars.
